J. Teddy Garces

  • J. Teddy Garces is A Dominican American actor born and raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Washington Heights New York. His training in the performing arts began as a professional dancer with the Santo Rico Dance company in New York City. A premier Mambo On 2 dance studio where he honed his craft as an instructor, performer and choreographer.

    At the request of a photographer during a photoshoot (he modeled men’s suits), J. Teddy began training at The School for Film and Television and at HB Studios in NY until his break on the independent film Red Passport came and he booked the role of Juan, his first film job.

    The Beautiful Brain of Billy Bendecido is a story that came to J. Teddy shortly after the 9/11 terrorist incident when he was living in NYC. Since then, the story has evolved and the amazing team around him bringing it to life has grown but the drive to tell it has remained the same.

    The Beautiful Brain of Billy Bendecido would not be happening without his friend, co-writer and director Hisonni Mustafa, His friend, creative support and producer Noam Dromi and of course his amazing wife, producer and biggest supporter Austin Garces.

 

Noam Dromi

  • Noam Dromi is a veteran writer/producer, marketing executive and digital strategist, specializing in creative content, media production and brand development for entertainment companies, corporations, consumer brands and non-profits.

    He currently serves as a consultant and advisor for a portfolio of start-ups and early stage companies at the intersection of technology and storytelling.

    Noam was formerly the Co-Founder and President of Legion of Creatives, a multimedia entertainment studio specializing in digital first programming that targeted under-served audiences. He oversaw development of the company's film, television, publishing and digital programming slate in addition to heading up business development opportunities in brand partnerships and live events.

    He co-wrote the Warner Bros/Alcon Entertainment film Dolphin Tale starring Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr & Ashley Judd.

 
 
 

Austin Highsmith Garces

  • Austin Highsmith Garces is an artist, actress, published author and illustrator, and produced screenwriter. She is best known for the role of Phoebe, in the Warner Brothers/Alcon Entertainment films, Dolphin Tale 1 & 2 and as Ms. Lang in season 2 of MTV: Scream The TV Series. She has produced several of the independent films that she's starred in as well, including two for Lifetime Movie Network. Apart from her on-screen work, Highsmith Garces was a stand-up comic having performed at such venues as the Comedy Store, Acme Comedy Theatre, and the Tampa Improv.

    Highsmith Garces wrote and sold her TV movie feature, “A Country Romance,” produced by Danny Roth and starred alongside Jonathan Bennett. She also co-wrote “The Plus One” set to go into production first quarter 2022 which stars Ashanti and Cedric the Entertainer. She has written several other features, TV movies, and pilot scripts.

    Her children’s book, The Miracle Tree, about her experience as a young girl, was published in April of 2019 through Doce Blant Publishing. A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Highsmith graduated from the University of North Carolina with a dual degree in Fine Arts and Political Science and several of the paintings used in the film were painted by her. Hisonni Mustafa

  • Hisonni Mustafa is a Guyanese American filmmaker from the most segregated city in America, Milwaukee, WI. Hisonni creates films that depict the protagonist's perilous journey toward being loved, financially secure, and discovering their significance in this world. Consequently, Hisonni has been selected as a featured filmmaker in Oscar Winner John Ridley’s, Filmmakers With No Boundaries showcase, won Best Director at the American Black Film Festival, the HBO feature film competition at MVAAFF, and became a semi-finalist for Gemstones Rising Storyteller Search.

    Since 2013 Hisonni has written, directed, shot, edited, produced, and crowdsourced a dozen award-winning projects. Hisonni's feature films and shorts earned awards from over 100 festivals, including Cinequest, Hollyshorts, and Urbanworld. Hisonni's shorts/web series have gained over six million views online and award nominations from LA Webfest, The VH1 Streamy Awards, Marseille Webfest, The IAWTV awards, and Marvel's Stan Lee. In 2020, Hisonni's independently produced film Take Out Girl has received awards from The Bentonville Film Festival, Dances With Films, Ashland Independent, Cinequest, and Indie Memphis.
